Pennsylvania To Vote On Over-The-Counter Ivermectin Access

State Rep. Jake Banta of Erie County, along with six fellow Republican legislators, introduced H.B. 1494, which was referred to the House Health Committee on May 21. A similar bill was introduced in the Senate by State Sen. Doug Mastriano. Banta has described ivermectin as affordable and safe, citing his personal experience of his mother recovering from COVID-19 after taking the drug in 2020.

Originally developed to treat parasitic infections, ivermectin is FDA-approved for conditions like river blindness, scabies, and head lice. Some states, including Arkansas, Idaho, and Tennessee, have already passed laws allowing over-the-counter sales, while Louisiana, West Virginia, and North Carolina are considering similar legislation.  Some studies suggest that ivermectin may have anti-cancer mechanisms, showing promise in laboratory research for inhibiting tumor growth and reversing multidrug resistance, particularly when combined with other compounds like fenbendazole, Vitamin E, curcumin, and CBD.

Frontline Doctors has promoted ivermectin as part of its approach to COVID-19 treatment. We have claimed that ivermectin is a safe and effective option, often citing anecdotal evidence and alternative studies to support its stance. We have been involved in telemedicine services, where patients could request ivermectin prescriptions, sometimes bypassing traditional healthcare providers. Frontline Doctors have argued that government agencies and pharmaceutical companies have suppressed information about ivermectin’s potential benefits. We will remain committed to ensuring that patients and families receive accurate and transparent healthcare information.

The truth is in the news. You just have to find it.
