Recent medical studies have confirmed that children face significant long-term health risks after COVID-19 infection, including issues affecting the kidneys, heart, and gastrointestinal system.
Frontline Doctors have published multiple articles sounding the alarm for the higher risk for kids associated to having COVID and receiving the vaccine. Our team is one of the leading advocates bringing awareness to a national heart disorder epidemic on the risk among our youth and otherwise healthy.
[We still urge every Frontline patient to search high school cardiac arrest and see how many local communities in your surrounding area have been devasted by the most alarming increase in heart problems among our America’s healthiest demographic.]
As we pushed for the truth in medicine it was important to highlight to our patients and supporters that the majority of real risk in taking most experimental vaccines and treatments are unknown for the first 5 to 10 years.
So it is no surprise to us that as we just passed the 5 year mark for COVID, science is confirming what patients and providers on the Frontline’s of the pandemic brought awareness to immediately.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we can now bring to a clearer light the now known and confirmed risk associated with most mothers greatest gift to the world, their children. These risk include:
- Kidney Risks: Children who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 had a 17% higher risk of developing chronic kidney disease at stage 2 or higher and a 35% higher risk at stage 3 or higher2. Those with pre-existing kidney conditions also faced an increased likelihood of severe complications, including dialysis or kidney transplant.
- Gastrointestinal Effects: Young patients had a 25% increased risk of developing abdominal pain, diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome in the months following infection2. This risk remained elevated for up to two years after recovery.
- Heart Problems: Children who had COVID-19 showed a 63% higher risk of developing heart conditions, including arrhythmias and inflammation.
These findings highlight the importance of long-term monitoring for children who have recovered from COVID-19.
Mother’s Day is a celebration of everything moms do to birth and care for their children. Frontline Doctors wants all mothers to know we are grateful for them and we stand with them in helping them make the best medical decision in caring for your family by bringing the truth to medicine.
