House GOP Panel Investigates Pfizer Scientist’s Claim On COVID Vaccine Timing And 2020 Election

The House Judiciary Committee is investigating allegations that Pfizer executives may have deliberately delayed the release of COVID-19 vaccine trial results until after the 2020 presidential election. The claims stem from statements reportedly made by former Pfizer executive Dr. Philip Dormitzer, who later joined British drugmaker GSK. Dormitzer allegedly told colleagues that the timing of the vaccine announcement “wasn’t a coincidence” and that senior Pfizer officials slowed down clinical testing so results wouldn’t be available before the election.

Republican lawmakers, including Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), argue that this potential delay may have influenced the election outcome by withholding critical public health information. The committee has requested documents and testimony from Dormitzer and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla to determine whether executives conspired to manipulate vaccine data for political reasons.

This investigation aligns with broader Republican concerns about transparency in public health decisions and potential political interference in scientific research. The GOP-led panel is pushing for accountability and further scrutiny of pharmaceutical companies’ actions during the pandemic
